Dhaka South City Corporation Administrator Md Shahjahan Mia has been given the additional responsibility of serving as the managing director (MD) of Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (Wasa).

The announcement was made through a circular issued by the Local Government Division today (18 May).

According to the circular, Shahjahan Mia has been transferred to the Development Wing of the Local Government Division and will simultaneously serve as the administrator of Dhaka South and the MD of Dhaka Wasa.

The circular, signed by Deputy Secretary Md Akbar Hossain, states that the decision has been made with the approval of the appropriate authorities and will take effect immediately.
