Rihanna goes blue with Smurfs soundtrack

Rihanna is back with new music — and it's Smurf-tastic. The superstar releases 'Friend of Mine', her first song since 2022's 'Lift Me Up'.

Featured in the upcoming Smurfs movie, the dreamy Afrobeats-inspired track grooves with Ri singing, "You're looking like a friend of mine."

Rihanna not only lends her voice to Smurfette in the animated film — alongside John Goodman and Sandra Oh — but also serves as executive producer. The movie hits theatres on 18 July.

While fans still await Anti's follow-up, Rihanna has confirmed her latest pregnancy isn't slowing her down. "I can still sing!" she declared on the 2025 Met Gala red carpet.
