GTA 6 release delayed to May 2026

Rockstar Games has officially delayed the release of Grand Theft Auto VI, pushing back its previously planned fall 2025 launch.

The highly anticipated sequel in the Grand Theft Auto series will be released on 26 May 2026. 

In a statement published on its official website, Rockstar Games apologised for the delay and said it needs extra time "to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve".

The first GTA VI trailer was revealed in December 2023.

Set in the iconic Vice City, GTA VI will feature for the first time a female protagonist alongside a male co-lead.
