Walton’s ‘Digital Campaign Season-22’ makes Mithun Datta a millionaire

Mithun Datta, a jewellery businessman from Khulna, has become a millionaire after purchasing a renowned European ACC brand air conditioner, manufactured by Walton, as part of Walton's ongoing 'Digital Campaign Season-22'.

On Saturday, 26 April 2025, popular film actor and Walton Senior Executive Director Amin Khan, Walton's Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Zoheb Ahmed, and Walton Plaza's Chief Sales Executive Wahiduzzaman Tanvir handed over a cheque worth Tk 10 lakh to Mithun Datta. The event took place at Chitrali Sromik Maydan in Khalishpur, Khulna.

As part of the 'Digital Campaign Season-22', customers are offered Tk 10 lakh upon purchasing Walton brand products, including fridges, ACs, washing machines, or BLDC fans, from any Walton Plaza or distributor outlet across the country. Additionally, customers can avail of crores of taka in cashback offers. These benefits will continue until Eid-ul-Azha this year. Prior to Mithun Datta, four customers became millionaires by purchasing Walton fridges under the same campaign.

On 16 April 2025, Mithun Datta purchased a 2-ton ACC brand AC worth Tk 95,990 on instalment from Khalishpur Walton Plaza. His name, mobile number, and the model number of the purchased AC were digitally registered. Shortly after, he received a notification via his registered mobile number informing him that he had won Tk 10 lakh under the campaign.

Commenting on his win, Mithun said, "I never imagined winning such an amount. My family is overjoyed with this award. Walton's digital campaign is a remarkable social service, and it contributes to the socio-economic development of the country. I plan to purchase land with the prize money."

Walton's CMO Zoheb Ahmed stated, "Walton is not just in business to make a profit; we aim to make people happy. Nearly 50 customers have become millionaires through our digital campaign, significantly improving their lives."

Amin Khan added, "This digital campaign not only offers special benefits to customers but also encourages the purchase of locally made products. Walton is now a source of pride for the nation. In addition to catering to domestic needs, Walton-made products are now exported to 50 countries worldwide."

The cheque handover ceremony was attended by Walton Plaza's Chief Divisional Officer Nurul Islam, Regional Sales Manager Abdul Hannan, Regional Credit Manager Razib Ferdous, Walton AC's Brand Manager Khalilur Rahman, AC Sales Monitoring Department's Shahriar Alam, and Khalishpur Walton Plaza Manager Robin Mia, among other senior officials.
