Entrepreneurship World Cup Bangladesh 2025 launched in Dhaka

In a spirited gathering filled with promise and ambition, the official campaign for the Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) Bangladesh 2025 was launched today. The occasion, a vibrant 'Meet the Press', took place at Daffodil Plaza, Dhanmondi, Dhaka, jointly organised by Daffodil International University and the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) Bangladesh.

The programme was presided over by Dr Md Sabur Khan, Chairman of GEN Bangladesh and Daffodil International University. The Entrepreneurship World Cup stands among the world's grandest and most esteemed startup pitch competitions, offering visionaries and innovators the chance to present their ideas and business plans for a share of USD 3 million in prizes and investment opportunities.

For the 2025 edition, startups from Bangladesh will be selected across three distinct categories: Idea Stage, Early Stage, and Growth Stage—giving dreamers at every juncture the opportunity to ascend towards greatness.

Chairman Dr Md Sabur Khan, in his address, said, "Innovation will build the Bangladesh of the future. And the Entrepreneurship World Cup is the first step to realising that dream." His words rang out with the timeless spirit of hope, reminding all present that the seeds of tomorrow's prosperity are sown in today's bold ideas.

Speakers at the event reflected on how EWC is set to open new doors for Bangladesh's burgeoning startup ecosystem, enabling entrepreneurs to forge bonds with global investors, mentors, and technology leaders. This, they noted, is a precious opportunity for the country's youth to carve out a luminous future on the world stage.

GEN Bangladesh, Bangladesh Venture Capital Limited, KnowledgeVale, and the Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Daffodil International University are proudly serving as national hosts for EWC 2025. They are joined in this noble endeavour by international partners such as Microsoft, NEOM, and Monsha'at, whose support breathes a global spirit into this national movement.

Thus, with tradition as our foundation and innovation as our guiding star, Bangladesh marches forward—fostering the dreams that will build the nation's destiny.
