The platform, which labels itself as a cultural organisation formed with inspiration from the July uprising to protect independence-sovereignty and build a state based on justice, standing against all hegemonism, held the rally titled 'Shahidi Samabesh' this afternoon in Shahbagh of the capital.
The rally kicked off at 3pm in front of the National Museum.
Speaker at the rally said the Inqilab Manch will conduct a mass campaign in 64 districts of the country for the next 100 days on their four-point demands.
If the demands are not met, a 'March for Bangladesh' programme will be announced on the next "36 July" (5 August), and they will besiege the Secretariat.
Inquilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi and other leaders are present at the rally.
Their four demands are:
- A visible trial of the July massacre must begin within the next 100 days, and the Awami League must be declared constitutionally banned through executive orders, court rulings, and political compromises.
- An investigation commission must be formed with the support of the United Nations to officially recognise the Shapla Chattar massacre, publish the list of martyrs, and begin the trial process.
- The full report of the commission formed on the Pilkhana massacre must be published, and the recommendations implemented.
- A clear clause regarding the trial of genocide committed by the Awami League must be included in the election manifestos of all political parties in the country.
