DIU and Genofax forge strategic partnership to develop AI solutions for multiple sectors
In a significant move to advance AI-powered solutions across key sectors, Daffodil International University (DIU) and Genofax have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on the development and implementation of AI platforms for healthcare, agriculture, livestock, and education sector.
The agreement was formalised by Dr Sheikh Rashed Haider Noori, head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at DIU, and Zahangir Alam, founder and CEO of Genofax Life Science. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr Sabur Khan, chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of DIU, along with Professor MA Rahim, head of the Department of Agricultural Science, and Dr Fizar Ahmed, director of the Embedded Systems Research Center.
This partnership brings together DIU's academic expertise in IoT, data science, and AI research with Genofax's cutting-edge AI and machine learning capabilities. The collaboration aims to develop scalable, community-driven AI solutions, including AI-based healthcare diagnostics, precision agriculture tools, livestock management systems, and AI-powered education platforms. These initiatives will focus on real-world implementation, ensuring accessibility and affordability for rural and urban communities across Bangladesh.
The MOU underscores a shared commitment to innovation, sustainability, and social impact. By combining DIU's research infrastructure and Genofax's AI technology, the partnership seeks to create transformative solutions that address critical challenges in healthcare, farming, livestock productivity, and career guidance. The collaboration will also explore joint funding opportunities with government and international development agencies to scale these AI-driven initiatives nationwide.
