edotco charts future of connectivity and digital innovation with Centre of Design Excellence
The leading regional integrated telecommunications infrastructure services company, edotco Group (edotco), announced its first Centre of Design Excellence (CoDE).
It is an initiative to further drive the group's commitment to advancing a sustainable telecommunications industry. Located here in Dhaka, CoDE brings together the best minds from across the edotco footprint with engineers from other key markets making up the virtual team as well.
The CoDE is focused on developing sustainable design solutions, advancing cost optimisation as well as research and development aimed at crafting solutions that are optimised for each market's unique needs. The centre hosts the breath of the company's engineering talent and serves as a prime location to fulfil the company's commitment to developing key engineering talent across the region.

"Bangladesh is edotco's second largest footprint country and the talent and expertise we have are the pillars of our operation. Through the immense collaboration and knowledge-sharing, our local talents have been playing a key role in developing innovative tower design and sustainable technological solutions for edotco's footprint countries. Among the innovative solutions include the first ever Smart Lamp Pole that was recently deployed in Bangladesh. Designed by the CoDE team, in partnership with DNCC, this initiative illustrates the company's role in creating a viable solution that will provide value to Bangladesh's telecommunications industry," said Ricky Steyn, Country Managing Director of edotco Bangladesh.
Through CoDE, edotco has also successfully deployed other active projects including the in-house design and optimisation of tower sites that standardises quality, improves budgetary adherence and reduces external costs. In just a few months since its inception, CoDE has also implemented tower strengthening solutions to resolve overload issues for sites that would otherwise require relocation.
