3 arrested with firearm, ammo in Rajshahi

Police have arrested three persons with a firearm and ammunition in Rajshahi's Charghat upazila today (14 April).
Acting on a tip-off, a team from Charghat Police Station conducted a drive at around 2am at a house in Raipur village of Charghat union and apprehended the suspected arms dealers, reads press release issued by Rajshahi Police.
The arrested were identified as Md Mehedi Hasan Munna, 28, Md Mamunur Rashid, 35, and Md Hridoy, 24.

One illegal foreign pistol, one magazine and two rounds of bullets were recovered from the accused, the release said.
A case under the Arms Act has been filed against the accused.
