Palestine lives in each of our hearts: Azhari
Today’s ‘March for Gaza’ is an expression of our love for Palestine and Al-Aqsa. Even though we are far from them in geographical location, Palestine is in our hearts, he says

Palestine resides in each Bangladeshis' heart, Islamic scholar Mizanur Rahman Azhari said today (12 March).
"This great assembly of people in the 'March for Gaza' proves that a Palestine dwells in each of our hearts," he said at the "March for Gaza" protest rally in the capital's Suhrawardy Udyan this afternoon.
"Today's 'March for Gaza' is an expression of our love for Palestine and Al-Aqsa. Even though we are far from them in geographical location, Palestine is in our hearts," he added.
During his speech, Azhari also led chants of "Free, free Palestine! Palestine will be free!" as the crowd responded in unison.
The event formally began with recitation from the Holy Quran, marking the start of the solidarity programme expressing support for the Palestinian people against the Israeli oppression.
As in many other countries, protests and demonstrations against Israel are taking place across all regions of Bangladesh.
The programme was aimed at standing against Israeli oppression and in support of the people of Gaza who have been victims of persecutions and offensives.
Islamic speaker Sheikh Ahmadullah, National Citizens Party's (NCP) Chief Organiser for the Southern Region Hasnat Abdullah were, among others, present at the gathering.
