Shakib Khan's 'SK Films' begins international release with Borbaad

Megastar Shakib Khan's production company, SK Films (Shakib Khan Films), has started distribution internationally.
This renowned Bangladeshi film production house will now regularly distribute films in North America (SK Films USA) and the Gulf (SK Films UAE).
SK Films USA announced its international journey at a press conference held at a restaurant in Jackson Heights, New York, on Wednesday evening (April 9). Badruzza Sagar, Farzana Akhtar, and many others attended the event, which was attended by SK Films USA's overall supervision.
In a press release, SK Films USA said it is beginning international film distribution with the release of Borbaad in the United States on April 18 and Canada on April 19.

SK Films, the production company behind the films Hero the Superstar, Password, and Veer, also announced that it will soon start film distribution in the Middle East, Europe, and Australia. Initial preparations have already been completed.
In a statement, SK Films authorities said, "SK Films International aims to bring Bengali cinema to the world on a large scale. In that vein, SK Films has initiated international film distribution. We hope this initiative will benefit Bengali cinema and continue the triumphant journey of our Bengali cinema worldwide."
'Borbaad' has created much buzz nationwide after its release in 120 cinema halls in Bangladesh on Eid-ul-Fitr. Even 10 days after its release, the audience is still interested in this movie. From cineplexes to multiplexes to single screens, daily housefuls are going everywhere. The excitement of the Bangladeshi audience after seeing 'Barbad' has increased the interest of the expatriate Bengalis in the US and Canada. Fascinated by Shakib Khan's Priyattama, Rajkumar, and Tufan, the expatriate audience eagerly awaits Borbaad.
Badruddoza Sagar, on behalf of SK Films USA, said, "Expatriates in the US and Canada are very eager to watch 'Borbaad'. Respecting the interest of these viewers, SK Films USA is officially releasing Borbaad internationally on April 18 in the US and April 19 in Canada."
Borbaad will be shown in theatres in states with a Bengali community. It will be shown in 35 to 40 theatres in the first week.

Notable cities in the United States where 'barbed' will be held from April 18 include New York, Boston, Virginia, Washington DC, Atlanta, Michigan, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Maryland, Buffalo, and Philadelphia. On April 19, 'barbed' will be held in three Bengali-populated cities in Canada: Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto.
Shakib Khan's heroine, Idhika Pal, is in the film Barbad, directed by Mehedi Hasan Hridoy under the banner of Real Energy Production. Misha Sawdagar, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Jisshu Sengupta, Shyam Bhattacharya, Manab Sachdev, and others are also in the film. In addition, Upper Bengali actress Nusrat Jahan performed in an item song.
The production company has informed us that 'Barbad' received an unexpected response, selling Tk 274.3 crore in theatres across the country in the first seven days of Eid.
