The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested two people, including the main perpetrator, over the sensational killing of cable TV service provider Sumon by shooting him in public in front of the capital's Gulshan Police Plaza on 20 March.
The arrestees were identified as Md Wasir Mahmud Sayeed alias Boro Saeed, 59 and Mamun alias Belal, 42.
Sayeed was arrested from Patuakhali Chowrasta area yesterday and based on his information, Belal was later arrested from Tongi East Police Station area in Gazipur on the same day.

RAB-1 Commander Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Zahidul Karim confirmed the matter to The Business Standard in the early hours of 26 March.
He said details will be announced at a press conference later in the day.
On 20 March night, Sumon from the Mohakhali area was publicly shot dead in front of the Police Plaza.
A case has been filed with Gulshan Police Station against unnamed persons in this incident.
