Ramadan is a sacred time for reflection, devotion and togetherness. It is a month that strengthens bonds, bringing people closer not just in faith but in spirit.

As the sun sets, Iftar marks the first meal after a long day of fasting, a meal we prefer to enjoy with our near and dear ones. To make this experience even more special, restaurants across the city are offering curated menus and exclusive deals.

TBS has rounded up three restaurants worth checking out this Ramadan, but make sure to book a reservation ahead of time to secure your spot.

Mamagocho

If you are a fan of Thai food, Mamagocho in Gulshan 2 should definitely be on your radar as it has won the hearts of many with its bold flavours and creative dishes. The cosy yet lively ambience makes it the perfect place to hang out with friends or family and enjoy a delicious meal.

This Ramadan, Mamagocho is offering special Iftar bento boxes that are packed with variety and flavour. Priced at Tk1,150 (all-inclusive), you can choose between two options: Bento A - Egg Fried Rice, Mama's Special Dusty Beef, Spicy Lemon Plum Chicken, Mama's Special Veg Bowl, Assorted Tempura, Mini Chicken Satay, Minty Lemon Salad, and Lemonade; and Bento B - Egg Fried Rice, Tangy Tamarind Prawn, Cashew Nut Chicken, Mama's Special Veg Bowl, Assorted Tempura, Mini Chicken Satay, Minty Lemon Salad, and Lemonade.

GOAT Restaurant

Craving Turkish food this Ramadan? GOAT in Banani has some amazing Iftar platters that are perfect for breaking your fast!

The Adana Kebab Platter and Shish Kebab Platter both come with a lot of delicious dishes. The common items in both platters are Turkish rice, hummus, mixed salad, grilled vegetables, lentil soup, Ayran, dates, and mineral water.

The main difference between the two platters are the kebabs. The Adana Kebab Platter includes chicken or beef Adana Kebab and cheese-stuffed grilled meatballs, while the Shish Kebab Platter has chicken or beef shish kebab with manti (Turkish dumplings) and lahmacun (a kind of Turkish flatbread).

The Adana Kebab Platter will set you back Tk990 for the chicken kebab and Tk1,150 for the beef kebab. The Shish Kebab Platter is priced at Tk1,190 for the chicken kebab and Tk1,390 for the beef kebab.

They also offer Karışık Kebab Platters for two. Karışık, if you are wondering, means "mixed" in Turkish. The Karışık A (Tk2,450) platter has Beef Shish Kebab, Chicken Adana Kebab, Beyti Kebab, and Turkish Bread, along with a dessert of Turkish Delight.

The Karışık B (Tk2,600) platter comes with Chicken Shish Kebab, Beef Adana Kebab, Chicken Wings, Cheese-stuffed Grilled Meatballs, and Chicken Cheese Pide, plus Turkish Delight for dessert.

Peyala

Peyala also has some great Iftar options this year, offering three different platters, each loaded with delicious bites.

The Choto Iftar Platter (Tk555) comes with a Half Mejo Chicken Wrap, Buttermilk Fried Chicken Slider, Butter Chicken Samosa, Fried Chicken Wings, and a Mejo Boston Brownie, along with water, fruits and dates.

The Mejo Iftar Platter (Tk955) gives you more with a full Mejo Chicken Wrap, Potato Croquette, extra Fried Chicken Wings and fries.

If you want to go all out, the Boro Iftar Platter (Tk1,155) has everything plus a Boro Chicken Wrap and a Nutella-filled Brioche Donut.
