UIU hosts freshers orientation for Spring 2025

United International University (UIU) organised the Orientation Program for the newly admitted students of the Spring 2025 semester on February 28, 2025 (Friday) at 3:30 PM in the UIU Playground.

The orientation program involved students from the School of Science and Engineering (SoSE), School of Business and Economics (SoBE), School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SoHSS), and School of Life Sciences (SoLS). 

The Honourable Vice-Chancellor of UIU, Professor Dr Abul Kashem Mia, was the chief guest of the program. Professor Dr Mohammad Musa, Dean of the School of Business and Economics, and Professor Dr Hasan Sarwar, Dean of the School of Science and Engineering, also spoke.

The Chief Guest, Professor Dr Abul Kashem Mia, said that students must attend classes regularly and acquire various skills to develop into world-class skilled human resources. He also advised the students to give special attention to research, innovation, and their studies. 

The Registrar of UIU, Dr Zulfiqur Rahman, discussed the university's academic rules. Ms Fabia Shahzadi, an alumnus of UIU, Trade Analytics Executive, British American Tobacco Bangladesh, a parent of existing students, and a newly admitted student, also spoke in the programme. At the end of the orientation programme, the UIU Cultural Club presented a cultural program.

The programme included the heads of Departments, Directors, Faculty Members, Officials, Students, and guardians.
