The National Citizen Party (NCP), the newly launched political party formed by students embodying the spirit of last year's July uprising, has announced a 151-member committee with Nahid Islam as the convener.

Akhtar Hossain, who has been named the member secretary of the party, announced the committee while addressing the grand launching ceremony of the NCP at Manik Mia Avenue in Dhaka today (28 February).

Akhtar Hossain read out the partial organogram of the party with 151 members. Akhtar said it is a partial committee and a full committee will be announced later.

Nasiruddin Patwari was announced as the chief coordinator of NCP, and Abdul Hannan Masud as the joint chief coordinator.

Hasnat Abdullah will serve as the chief organiser for the southern region while Sarjis Alam as the chief organiser for the northern region.

Samanta Sharmin and Ariful Islam Adib will serve as senior joint conveners of the party.

Dr Tasnim Jara and Nahida Sarwar Niba will serve as senior joint member secretaries.
