Colleges required to report income and expenses : National University

Speaking at the annual prize distribution ceremony of Dhaka Imperial College and the fresher reception ceremony of Khilgaon Model College, National University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr ASM Amanullah said that his administration is going to bring the colleges under transparency and accountability by ensuring the accounting of income and expenditure.

In his speech as the chief guest, the Vice Chancellor also said, "Most of the colleges have monitoring in the field of education and finance.  "Deficiencies are being observed. Although an annual audit is supposed to ensure transparency in income and expenditure, it is not being done. Educational institutions cannot be left in this state without guardians. We are committed to ensuring reform, accountability and quality education. "
 
At this time, he emphasised the mandatory audit by the statutory body to monitor the colleges' income and expenditure accounts. The Vice-Chancellor directed that the colleges announce the annual lesson plan and examination routine at the beginning of the year in coordination with the National University.
 
To alleviate the suffering of students and make them interested in the classroom, he called on the colleges to conduct the entrance exam on time, send the entrance exam books to the university and submit the marks to the university on time. The Vice-Chancellor mentioned that the National University will take action soon. Criticising the current education structure and traditional curriculum, Professor Amanullah said, "Higher education in an independent country cannot continue like this. That is why many steps have already been taken to reform the current education system according to the international curriculum. " His university is working tirelessly to bring all the private colleges affiliated with the National University to the standards of century-old government colleges and good colleges. He mentioned many complaints about the B.Ed and Law colleges. He also warned that this would be investigated strictly.
