Seven additional secretaries promoted to secretaries

The government has promoted seven additional secretaries to the rank of secretary.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued an order in this regard today (25 February).

Additional Secretary of the public administration ministry Aleya Akter has been made the secretary to the Statistics and Informatics Division; Additional Secretary of the housing and public works ministry Md Kamal Uddin made secretary to the cultural affairs ministry; Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) Chairman (Grade-1) Md Tajul Islam made secretary to the Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED); and Registrar (Additional Secretary) of Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms Md Mizanur Rahman has been made secretary to the Bangladesh Parliament Secretariat.

Also, Additional Project Director (Additional Secretary) of Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project Mohammad Abdur Rouf has been promoted to secretary to the Bridges Division; Cabinet Division Additional Secretary Zaheda Perveen has been made secretary of the division's Coordination and Reforms Department; and ICT Division Additional Secretary Mahbubur Rahman is now the secretary to the Ministry of Commerce.

Besides, the public administration ministry also issued two other notifications transferring two secretaries.

Secretary of the Cabinet Division's Coordination and Reforms Department Md Mahmudul Hossain Khan has been transferred as a member (Secretary) of the Planning Commission while Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of the public administration ministry Md Mostafizur Rahman has been made the secretary of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.
