A Bangladesh Biman flight made an emergency landing at Nagpur Airport in Maharashtra, India, yesterday (19 February) after encountering a technical issue, officials confirmed today.

According to Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the flight BG-347, departed from Dhaka at 8:53pm and was heading towards Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), with 395 passengers and 12 crew members onboard. Around 10:45pm, the captain received a technical signal, prompting a diversion and emergency landing at Nagpur Airport.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines' General Manager of Public Relations Bosra Islam told The Business Standard that the flight made the emergency landing at approximately midnight, and all passengers are receiving full support and assistance at the airport.

Meanwhile, another Boeing 777 aircraft departed Dhaka at 10:45am today to take the passengers to Dubai. That flight arrived in Nagpur at 12:39pm today and departed for Dubai.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has apologised for the temporary inconvenience caused to the passengers.
