Ex-railway minister Mujibul, wife sued over amassing Tk10cr in illegal wealth

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed two separate cases against former railway minister Md Mujibul Haque and his wife Hanufa Akhter Rikta on charges of illegally acquiring wealth worth Tk10.67 crore.

ACC Director General Md Akhter Hossain confirmed the matter to reporters today (17 February).

In the case statements, the ACC alleges that Mujibul and his wife Rikta accumulated wealth illegally worth Tk7.39 crore and Tk3.28 crore respectively.

Charges have been filed against them under the Anti-Corruption Commission Act, 2004 and the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947.
