On June 18, he uploaded the 2.34-minute video, where he is seen playing five different musical instruments -- a drum on his shoulder, a guitar in his hand, a ghunghur in one of his feet, a kazoo and a keyboard -- at the same time.

"I had been planning for it for a long time. Finally, I have implemented it. There are a very few one man bands around the globe. India, Japan and Indonesia have one such band each. Now Bangladesh has one. I feel happy about that. From now on, if the name of 'one man bands' are uttered anywhere, the name of Bangladesh will come up," Emon said.

However, it was not an easy task for Emon. He had to practise playing the instruments at a time for one month at a stretch. Before that, he had to set the instruments on his body properly. Overall, he had to take very good preparation before executing the plan.

"It is an experimental work. When I first took initiative of doing the work, I contacted drummer Nafiz Al Amin bhai. He made a nice drum called 'Beshi Josh Drums' for me. Then came the main challenge. Manik Jashim bhai worked very hard to make the drum playable while it was set on my body. He also helped me in playing it. It took time to organize the whole thing," Emon said.

Emon could play 15 kinds of musical instruments before the One Man Band appeared. Emon has been with Chirkut for 14 years. He has been playing guitar since 1999.

Emon started playing guitar from his childhood in Narshingdi. "We had a band there. Then after coming to Dhaka, I played guitar as a guest guitarist with many singers. I played guitar with Habib bhai, Fuad bhai and James bhai on stage. Then I joined Chirkutt," said Emon.

However, he also sings songs. He gave voice to two songs in the Kathbirali movie. He was the music director of the film. With several films in hand, Emon remains immersed in music now.

Towards the end of the conversation with The Business Standard, he said, "It is true that coronavirus has made us fearful. But I remain always busy in my studio. That is why I do not feel bad. I am utilizing this time, as there is no scope of going outside now."
