Neymar returns to Santos on six-month deal
The 32-year-old, who previously starred for Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, makes his return to Santos after an injury-plagued stint with Al Hilal.
Neymar has signed a six-month contract with Santos, marking a return to the club where he began his professional career.
The Brazilian forward, who has struggled with injuries in recent years, was officially presented at the Urbano Caldeira Stadium on 31 January 2025.
"The contract is for six months initially, but obviously we will do all we can to ensure he stays with us," Santos vice-president Fernando Bonavides told Canal SporTV. "What we are hoping is that he remains with us until next year's World Cup."

The 32-year-old, who previously starred for Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, makes his return to Santos after an injury-plagued stint with Al Hilal. Despite signing for the Saudi club in august 2023 on a reported salary of $104 million per year, he managed just seven appearances before rupturing a cruciate ligament in his left knee while playing for Brazil in a World Cup qualifier. The injury kept him out for a year, and further hamstring and knee issues delayed his comeback.
Now back at Santos, Neymar was all smiles as he was unveiled in front of the club's supporters, with a celebratory event featuring performances by several local musicians.
