BCS Taxation Association gets new leadership
The Bangladesh Civil Service (Taxation) Association has announced a new executive committee with Barrister Mutasim Billah Faruqui as its president and Syed Mohidul Hasan as secretary general.
The announcement was made in a press statement released on Monday (13 January).
Currently, Faruqui serves as an income tax commissioner, while Mohidul is an additional commissioner at the Large Taxpayers Unit (LTU).

According to the statement, the committee was formed as part of efforts to rebuild service associations free from discrimination, following the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and subsequent changes. The previous executive committee was dissolved unanimously during a meeting of the association.
Other members of the newly formed committee include Tax Commissioner Md Shamimur Rahman, Iqtiaruddin Mamun, and Mohammad Abdur Rakib, who will serve as Vice Presidents.
