 EWU receives prestigious accreditation award

The Faculty of Business and Economics at East West University (EWU) has been awarded unconditional accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programmes (ACBSP) for the next ten years.

ACBSP, a U.S.-based accrediting body recognised by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), recently announced this recognition following an institutional visit.

ACBSP accreditation benefits students, study programmes, and faculty as a whole. The programme gained international recognition, and degrees and diplomas are widely accepted globally.

It increases students' marketability, giving them a competitive advantage in the hiring process and allowing them to pursue higher studies abroad.

In addition, EWU has launched an emergency ambulance service to expand its medical services. On 22 December 2024, Professor Dr Mohammed Farashuddin, the university's chief adviser, handed over the ambulance keys to Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor, on behalf of the university's Board of Trustees. The event was attended by members of the Board of Trustees, the Pro-Vice Chancellor, the Treasurer, senior officials, and medical officers and staff.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Shams Rahman stated, "The ACBSP accreditation is the ultimate testament to the international standard of our business education. It will create new opportunities for our students and teachers and motivate them further. Launching the ambulance service signifies our commitment to ensuring urgent healthcare services."
