The much-anticipated Cine Carnival 3.0, organised by the Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival (DIMFF), opened its doors on 17 December at the ULAB Permanent Campus.

This vibrant three-day celebration of film, creativity, and fun started with an electrifying atmosphere, drawing film enthusiasts, students, and families alike, reads a press release.

Vendors were quick to praise the event's audience engagement. Star Kebab, one of the food vendors, expressed their delight, saying, "We're already stockout on the first day. The crowd has been amazing, and we're excited for the next two days, which promise even bigger turnouts."

Fravish, a fragrance vendor, shared a similar sentiment, "Our stall's location is perfect, and the volunteers have been very helpful. We had to promise preorders for our 30ml perfumes because we sold out so quickly."

At Nagordola, a popular attraction at the carnival, volunteers remarked, "No scarcity of audience—people are loving it."

The Garage Sale stall also caught significant attention for its unique concept. A representative said, "Students have been very open to the idea of sustainable living. The garage sale is a great initiative since we all have fast fashion piling up at our homes, and it's a fresh inclusion that highlights and promotes environmentally friendly shopping."

Day One Highlights, The carnival officially began at 11am, welcoming attendees with a range of engaging activities such as Nagordola, Arcade Games, and Tota Bole (Parrot Fortune-Telling). Families and friends explored the 40+ stalls offering diverse products, games, and refreshments.

One of the main attractions of the event is the Cinemascope Cinemaghor, where films by talented filmmakers from around the world are being screened, offering an immersive cinematic experience. Cinemaghor successfully conducted their Day 1 operations.

The event organisers shared their excitement about the turnout. One organizer stated: "This year's Cine Carnival was much awaited after the success of last year. We have so many exciting things prepared, and I'm truly happy to see so many people enjoying and looking forward to this event."

Looking Ahead, With such a promising start, Cine Carnival 3.0 is expected to see even larger crowds over the next two days. Exciting competitions such as the Cosplay Competition, Open Mic, and Roast and Toast are set to bring more energy in the coming days.
Don't miss out on the remaining days of this cinematic celebration. For more updates, visit our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/DIMFF.ULAB
