Marginal farmers, the dairy association, poultry association, and fishermen's association, are conducting this program risking their lives amid the pandemic, he said.

Both buyers and producers are benefiting from this initiative. With this mobile sales program, farmers in the fisheries and livestock sectors are able to offset losses by easily marketing their products at fair prices, the ministry said.

Consumers are also able to easily buy fish, meat, milk, eggs and dairy products amid the ongoing lockdown.

At present, sales of fish, meat, milk, eggs, and dairy products continues from mobile outlets in 64 districts of eight divisions in the country.
