Bangladesh fully supports Greta Thunberg’s response to climate change
"Being different is not an illness and the current, best available science is not opinions”

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam tweeted supporting the Swedish teenager Greta Thunberg who has inspired a global movement for climate change.
Replying to a negative post, Shahriar Alam tweeted: "Surely none of those abuses are from Bangladesh. Full support for @GretaThunberg."

Swedish teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg was awarded as one of four winners of the 2019 Right Livelihood Award, known as Sweden's alternative Nobel Prize.
Thunberg, 16, denounced world leaders on Monday for failing to tackle climate change in a speech at the start of a climate summit at the United Nations in New York.
However, many have criticised Thunberg's response to climate change. Countering Thunberg, these criticisms have taken a few different approaches.
Dinesh D'Souza, the conservative provocateur compared her to a Nazi Propaganda.
A Fox News guest called her a mentally ill child who is exploited by her parents.
President Donald Trump also mocked her on Twitter as a "Happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future", after a speech in which Thunberg presented the uncertain prospect for her generation's future.
Thunberg responded addressing her critics that in her home country, Sweden, people similarly criticise the United States for not taking enough action.
"Being different is not an illness and the current, best available science is not opinions," she tweeted.
