Elon Musk has been the world's richest person since May 2024. He became the first person ever worth $700 billion after the Delaware Supreme Court restored his Tesla stock options, which were cancelled by a lower court in 2024 and are now valued at $130 billion. All of the top six individuals are from the United States.
