Nobel Peace Prize at a glance (1901-2025)

The Nobel Peace Prize, being given since 1901, this year has been awarded to politician Maria Corina Machado for promoting democracy and advocating a peaceful transition from dictatorship in Venezuela. Bangladesh's Muhammad Yunus and Grameen Bank shared the Peace Prize in 2006 for their work to create economic and social development at the grassroots level.
