The latest Labour Force Survey (LFS) 2024 has revealed that Bangladeshi migrant workers spend an average of Tk4.63 lakh on recruitment costs. Earning a monthly average of Tk42,599, the workers need 10.9 months, on average, to recover these expenses.

The mean recruitment cost indicates the average expenses incurred by migrants during the recruitment process, while the mean monthly earnings show the average income earned by migrants in a month.
