In August 2025, 10 full-fledged Islamic banks in Bangladesh operated with 1,698 branches, in addition to 41 Islamic banking branches of 17 conventional commercial banks. Islamic Banking investments increased to Tk571,531 crore at the end of August 2025, up from Tk516,991 crore in the same period last year, marking a 10.5% increase.
