Inflationary pressure intensified again in Bangladesh in May, pushing overall inflation above 9.42%, up from 9.04% in April, marking a 16-month high. Both food and non-food inflation rose in May, with food inflation rising sharply to 9.06% from 8.39%, while non-food inflation climbed to 9.71% from 9.57% – highest in 21 months.
