Hult Prize On-Campus 2024-25 Grand Finale held at University of Rajshahi

The Grand Finale of the Hult Prize On-Campus 2024-25 at the University of Rajshahi was successfully held at the Deans Complex conference room. In its eighth edition at RU, the competition saw participation from over 400 teams, with eight finalists advancing after rigorous idea submissions and elevator pitches.

This year's program was title sponsored by VRC Study Abroad Ltd, with Ifad Group of Industries as the Powered by sponsor and Symlex VPN as the Associate Partner. The competition serves as the first step towards the global $100,000 Hult Prize.

The finalist teams were Team Parkour, Team Exam Ahead Still Participated, Team JWTEE, Team Jhalmuri, Team Ecosparks, Team One Zero Five, Team Fakibaz, and Team Dynamic Minds. After an intense competition, Team Jhalmuri emerged as the champion, while Team Parker and Team Ecosparks secured the first and second runner-up positions, respectively. The winners received crests and prize money of Tk10,000, along with the opportunity to compete in the national round.

The Grand Finale was graced by Professor Dr. Md Main Uddin, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic), and Professor Dr. Md Farid Uddin Khan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration), as the chief guests. Honorable Vice-Chancellor Dr. Md Saleh Hasan Nakib sent his best wishes. Speaking on the occasion, Professor Farid Uddin emphasized the importance of competitive platforms like the Hult Prize in preparing students for the global market. Professor Main Uddin highlighted the integration of case study analysis at RU, inspired by Ivy League universities, to enhance students' industry collaboration skills.

The event featured a distinguished panel of judges, including Ashraful Shabab, HR Business Partner CD and DFA & Wellbeing Manager, Unilever Bangladesh Ltd.; Md Abdul Momen, Area Sales Manager, Marico Bangladesh Ltd.; and Asaduzzaman, Brand Manager, Berger Paints Bangladesh Ltd. Additionally, Rashedul Islam Sajib, Mobility and HR Specialist, JTI Bangladesh Ltd., attended as a guest speaker.

Dr. Md Nurul Momen, Director of CCDC at Rajshahi University, along with Professors Md Monimul Haque, Md Adil Hasan Chowdhury, Syed Md Ali Reza, Nasim Reza, and Md Johrul Anis, were also present at the event.

Speaking about the success of this year's competition, Campus Director Pranto Barua expressed confidence in RU students' ability to showcase their business ideas on a global stage. Deputy Director Azmine Tasik noted the record-breaking participation and the program's extensive industry collaborations and workshops.

The event was supported by Marico Bangladesh Ltd. as the strategic partner, with Quanta Systems (IT partner), Tripeazy (travel partner), Duke Restaurant (food partner), BrightSkills (e-learning partner), and over 20 additional partners, including various campus-based clubs. The Business Standard supported the event as Media Partner.
