Dhaka University to host over 500 delegates at DUNMUN 2025

Dhaka University Model United Nations Association (DUMUNA) is set to host the 12th edition of its flagship conference—Dhaka University National Model United Nations (DUNMUN)—from 29 May to 1 June 2025.
Founded in 2011, DUMUNA has grown into a platform of diplomacy, dialogue, and leadership for students across Bangladesh and beyond. With its motto, "United We Work, United We Achieve," the association has become a beacon of youth-led advocacy, promoting the values of global cooperation through UN simulations, policy discussions, and international representation.
The theme for DUNMUN 2025 is "The Rule of Law Amidst Global Paradigm Shifts: Ensuring Justice, Equality and Accountability." The conference seeks to highlight the importance of protecting human rights and strengthening justice systems in a time of uncertainty and global transformation.
The event will take place at the historic Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building. Over 500 delegates—including 50 international participants—will take part in 11 simulated UN committees, including the UN Security Council 1540 Committee.
DUMUNA's reputation extends far beyond national borders. Its delegates have represented Bangladesh at prestigious international conferences such as LIMUN in London, Nepal MUN, and BITSMUN Goa, earning recognition and awards. Notable achievements include S.M. Nahian Islam's Honorable Commendation at LIMUN 2023 and current President Nawshin Fatmi's High Commendation at BITSMUN 2024.
With a proud history of alumni serving in institutions like the UNDP, WHO, and the World Bank, DUMUNA continues to inspire a new generation of changemakers—building bridges between student potential and global leadership.
