The global streaming platform has earlier in October 2020 also won the "Digital Content and Streaming Service of the Year" Award at the Telecoms World Middle East Awards for the second consecutive year.

Speaking on the occasion, Archana Anand, Chief Business Officer, ZEE5 Global, said, "We're absolutely thrilled to win this award for Content Delivery Platform of the Year. Despite it being a challenging year, we have launched some of our best content yet this year across categories and are constantly looking to innovate and improve the user experience to enable our viewers to access all this content seamlessly across the largest range of devices.

"The Middle East has been one of our strongest growth markets across the globe in 2020, and we are very happy to receive this recognition here today as a token of the love of our audiences here,"Archana added.

A freemium platform, ZEE5 offers over 130,000 hours of the best of South Asian content to viewers across the Middle East

ZEE5 has also made waves in terms of content this year, with award-winning movies like Mee Raqsam and Chintu Ka Birthday, its first Pakistani Original Churails, and its first Bangladeshi Original Mainkar Chipay, all becoming runaway successes.
