In an unexpected move, Zack Snyder is planning to reshoot Justice League nearly three years after it arrived in cinemas.

The director will return to the helm of DC's superhero team-up film in October, according to The Hollywood Reporter. New scenes will be shot for the long-awaited Snyder Cut of Justice League, which will be released on HBO Max in four installments sometime next year.

The shoot will last around a week, and a number of actors will step back into their roles from the original film, including Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman. They'll be joined by Ray Fisher, despite the actor's ongoing battle with Warner Media regarding an alleged abusive work environment under Joss Whedon and the producers of the original film.

The long-rumored Snyder Cut was finally confirmed in May 2020, with Snyder revealing it'll debut exclusively on HBO Max in 2021. The first Snyder Cut trailer debuted at DC FanDome in August.
