The Maharashtra government has heightened the security for the Bachchan family. This comes in the wake of Jaya Bachchan defending the film industry in parliament.
In a fiery speech Jaya Bachchan said, "Just because there are some people, you can't tarnish the image of the entire industry."
"I am ashamed that yesterday one of our members in Lok Sabha, who is from the film industry, spoke against it," she added.

And soon after Jaya Bachchan's speech, she faced massive backlash on social media, some even threatening the veteran actress.
Reported by Times Now, the security outside the Bachchan family home has been increased as a result.
It's seen as a "precautionary measure" considering the Bachchan family home is a very well-known location in the state.
