"I played the lead role in the play 'Baki Itihas' under the direction of Aly Zaker. Acting under his direction was one of the proudest moments of my life. We developed friendships and family ties after that play," said Abul Hayat.

They last saw each other before the countrywide lockdown started due to the novel coronavirus. Abul Hayat went to his house, chatted and reminisced about the old days sitting together.

Abul Hayat said, "Ali Zaker always used to say that Abul Hayat is great as a co-actor and he feels dependent when I am with him."

Abul Hayat said that he was very saddened by the death of Aly Zaker adding, "One of the irreparable losses of our theater world is the death of Aly Zaker."
