Popular children's channel Duronto TV to showcase its 14th season with new programs along with its regular contents.

The new season will start from 10 January, and will feature four new local programmes and two new cartoon series besides the regular programmes and cartoon series, according to a press release.

Here are the details about the following new local programmes and cartoon series to air on Duronto TV.

Duronto's new science based fun show: 'Bhulostein'

Episodes: 65

Time: Sunday to Thursday at 02.30 pm and 7:30 pm

Bhulostein is an absent-minded scientist. He spends time with his assistant Piku discussing science related stories. Bhulostein also has some young scientist friends. They surprise Bhulostein and Piku with their interesting scientific experiments. This programme will highlight how children can have fun and play with science.

Ramij Raju has played the character of Piku. The character of young scientists are played by Farzana Akhter Meem, Unaisa Tijan Khan, Toki Yasar Ayman, Shuklima Shraddha, Taslim Quader Moon, Tridib Sarkar, Triyasha Sarkar, Neel Sratashini, Maliha Yusuf, Soubantik Samriddha, Maimuna Islam Medha and others. The puppets were directed by Shubhangkar Das Shuvo. This programme is jointly directed by Md Monirul Hossain Shipon and Fahima Ahmed Chaiti.

Time: Sunday to Thursday at 11:30 am and 5.30 pm

Kattush and Kuttush are two naughty book worms. They eat the pages of books whenever they get a chance. At the same time, they eat the stories written on the pages. The stories they eat will be illustrated in 'Kattush Kuttush' through shadow, puppetry, sand art and origami.

Puppets of this show are directed by Sayma Karim and Mridha Ayomi. Origami Artists and Shadow Puppeteers are Md Sohel, Nurul Absar Palash and Mehedi Hasan Shadhin. Sand Art was done by Harendra Nath Roy and Joyeth Kalyan. The programme is directed by Jamal Hossain Abir.

Episodes: 65

Time: Sunday to Thursday at 1 pm and 8 pm

Kichir and Michir are two siblings. They live in a small town named 'Jhilmil Nagar'. Everyone in this town is very happy. A good fairy takes care of this beautiful town. Everyone loves her so much. But the bad fairy does not like this at all. One day, this beautiful town is suddenly covered in darkness by the curse of bad fairy. Sadness comes down to the life of the dwellers. Duronto's new puppet drama series 'Laal Kohinoor' is about the adventures of Kichir and Michir to save the 'Jhilmil Nagar' from the curse of bad fairy.

The script of this drama series is written by Shibashis Bandyopadhyay and is directed by Nima Rahman. Puppeteers of this series are Arthur Baptist Mukta, Ishita Jahangir, Linda Purabi Adhikari, Jewel Dias, Sajeeb Kumur, Farhad Abedin and Rabbi Sheikh.

'Sisimpur' with new stories of Halum, Tuktuki, Ikri and Shiku

Time: Every day at 8:00 am

'Sisimpur' is all about child enlightenment with fun and games. Halum, Ikri, Tuktuki and Shiku has won the hearts of children in Bangladesh.  The Royal Bengal Tiger, Halum, loves to eat fish.  Tuktuki, with her braids and bangles, loves to read.  Little Ikri Mikri is thoughtful and Shiku is the logical fox who loves science.  Halum, Tuktuki, Ikri, Shiku and all their friends live in Sisimpur. 

New cartoon series 'Martin Morning'

Time: Sunday to Thursday at 12 pm and 6:30 pm

Nine-year-old Martin wakes up each morning as a different type of being. And though it isn't always easy for him, his friends accept him and join him on adventures inspired by each transformation.

New Cartoon Series 'Zigby'

Time: Friday and Saturday at 11 am and 6:30 pm from 15 January

Curious zebra Zigby lives on an island with his friends. The desire for adventure with his friends and the curiosity of Zigby always leads to incredible stories from which important lessons can be learned through laughter.
