The government has decided to reopen the cinema halls across the country from October 16 maintaining health guidelines of Covid-19.

Mir Akram Uddin Ahammad, public relations officer of the Information Ministry has confirmed this matter to The Business Standard today.

The cinema halls will have to operate with only half the audience capacity, maintain safety rules and social distancing rules to prevent coronavirus infection.

All cinema halls were closed on March 18 amid the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
