Charlize Theron: ‘Mad Max’ recasting for Furioso is heart-breaking

Oscar winning actor Charlize Theron won't be reprising her role as Furiosa in the forthcoming "Mad Max" prequel, reports Yahoo.

Director George Miller is all set to cast another actor to play a younger version of the character, which the Oscar winner calls is a "little heart-breaking."

"It's a tough one to swallow. Listen, I fully respect George, if not more so in the aftermath of making 'Fury Road' with him," Theron told The Hollywood Reporter.

"He's a master and I wish him nothing but the best. Yeah, it's a little heart-breaking, for sure"

Theron also said that she'd have loved to "see that story continue," but that she ultimately trusts Miller's vision for the future of the franchise.

Actors like Jodie Comer who is known for"Killing Eve" and Anya Taylor-Joy , star of "Emma" have reportedly been eyed to replace Theron.
