‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ creators leave Netflix live-action adaption

Avatar: The Last Airbender creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko have left the Netflix's live-action adaptation due to creative difference.
The duo Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko exited the project through an open letter.
Citing reasons of creative differences. In the letter the two wrote, "I also sought wisdom from Stoic philosophers who were big on differentiating between what is within our control and what isn't. I realized I couldn't control the creative direction of the series, but I could control how I responded. So, I chose to leave the project. It was the hardest professional decision I've ever had to make, and certainly not one that I took lightly, but it was necessary for my happiness and creative integrity."

The creators believed the series production wasn't doing justice to the original source material.
"We were fine with collaborating, as long as we felt those ideas were in line with the spirit and integrity of Avatar," the duo wrote with collective frustration.
This adaptation was set to give the fans a proper live-action portrayal. Especially, considering the M. Night Shyamalan adaptation was a thing of nightmares for the series fans.
It is yet to see how Netflix reacts to the departure of the creative minds behind the original series. As many speculate, this might turn out to be yet another incident of production interference with artistic freedom.
