50 noted artists came together to sing a new and beautiful rendition of our national anthem on the glorious occasion of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the 50th anniversary of independence.

Initiated by The Information and Communication Technology division, the musical arrangement was organised by Kaushik Hossain Taposh, said a press release.

Rendered by TM production, the music video was shot outside the National Parliament House and the historic Sohrawardy Udyan.

State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak said, "Our ICT department decided to recreate the national anthem with the participation of fifty artists to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu and the 50th anniversary of independence. We have rendered this song so that our future generation can understand the beauty of our national anthem through the presence of freedom fighters and artists of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra who have inspired the liberation war."

Apart from freedom fighters and Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra artists, the music video also showcased a number of talented artists from this generation.

25 male and 25 female artists gave their voice to this rendition. They were --- Rafiqul Alam, Khurshid Alam, Fakir Alamgir, Mahmud Selim, Hamin Ahmed, Maqsoodul Haq, Hasan, S I Tutul, Sujit Mustafa, Balam, Robi Chowdhury, Mizan, Arnob, Milon Mahmud, Arifin Rumi, Adit, Parvez, Autumnal Moon, Shamim, Priyo, ABD and Pulak, Shaheen Samad, Fatema Tuz Zohra, Abida Sultana, Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya, Shama Rahman, Fahmida Nabi, Dilshad Nahar Kakoli, Aankhi Alomgir, Elita Karim, Mehreen, Rumana Islam, Tashfee, Luipa, Dola, Reshmi, Tasnim Anika, Shithi Saha, Sunidhi Nayek, Tina Russell, Anima Roy, Oishee, Julie, Earnnik, Putul and Ayesha Moushumi.

"It is indeed a momentous and proud moment for us, as the government and ICT Division entrusted us with this responsibility," says National Award-winning composer and singer, Kaushik Hossain Taposh. "The fact that so many noted artistes are here together makes this special"," he added.
