The late musician Ayub Bachchu would have been 58 today. Two years after his demise, he is still fondly remembered for his timeless creations- both with his band LRB (Love Runs Blind) and solo projects.

We have picked 10 of his songs which we think are not as popular as his mainstream hits, but deserve to be in your playlist

Ochena Jibon

A title track of an album by LRB, this is one of those songs which are best savored on a long drive. Written by Bachchu himself, "Ochena Jibon" is easily one of his lesser known works. Next time you get into your car; do not forget to add this to your driving playlist.

Neel Bedona

This song is a slow burner, something you need to listen to with full attention. This psychedelic number is a testament to Bachchu's incredible versatility. This track from the duet album "Capsule 500 mg" is not totally obscure to his hardcore fans, but it is not mainstream either.

Koshto Kake Bole

Hands down to one of the most melodious songs by Ayub Bachchu. In 1994, before forming LRB, his solo album "Koshto," hit the cassette stores- and became an instant hit. "Koshto Kake Bole" was one of the 12 tracks of this album. Do check out the entire album

Koto Din Dekhini Du Chokh

When Ayub Bachchu and Prince Mahmud collaborated for a project, something magical was bound to happen. Written and composed by Bachchu and Mahmud respectively, "Koto Din Dekhini Du Chokh" has a piercing chorus that you would love to listen to on repeat.

Moyna

A title track from Ayub Bachchu's solo album, this groovy number is about a girl named Moyna- whom Bachchu calls a "next door girl." We do not know whether Moyna is real or not, but the song tells about her leaving her lover- for someone else.

Bela Sheshe Fire Eshe

Prince Mahmud is a constant when you are making a list of songs by Ayub Bachchu. Mahmud's mixed album "Daag Theke Jay" featured this song. A piano intro followed by Bachchu's voice and then a violin piece- a sad song could not get any better.

Barale Haat Bondhu

"Chithir Uttor Dio" was a mixed album by Prince Mahmud- featuring an ensemble of band vocalists. The album starts with this song, written by Kabir Bakul and composed by Mahmud.

Paal Tola Nay

LRB is a very prolific band. They have churned out solo albums as well as appeared in mixed albums regularly at the height of its popularity. "Paal Tola Nay" appeared in the album "Mon Chaile Mon Pabe." The song was written by Mosaddek Sarkar Rajon.

Tumi Chile

Released in the album "LRB-1" that marked the birth of the band, this song is very groovy and will remind you of the film soundtracks of the 1980s. If you try to pass off this song as an old movie playback to somebody, chances are he might believe you.

Sara Jibon

You would notice a significant difference in Bachchu's voice in this song. His voice did age like a fine wine- got better with time.
