Pakistan PM prays for Khaleda Zia's recovery
"I pray to Almighty Allah for your swift and complete recovery to good health," he said
Pakistan's Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep concern over the deteriorating health of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and wished her a swift and complete recovery.
Shehbaz said that he was "deeply concerned" to learn about Khaleda's illness and conveyed his "sincerest prayers and good wishes" on behalf of the people and government of Pakistan, as well as his own behalf, according to an official letter sent yesterday (28 November).
In the letter, Shehbaz praised Khaleda's "immense contribution" to Bangladesh's development, noting that her role in strengthening ties between Bangladesh and Pakistan was "widely acknowledged and deeply valued".
"I pray to Almighty Allah for your swift and complete recovery to good health so that you can continue to serve as a source of strength and guidance for your party and your great nation," the letter reads.
Shehbaz concluded the letter by extending his "highest consideration" to the BNP chief.
