Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said he had a brief discussion about Bangladesh with newly-appointed Secretary of State of the United States Marco Rubio yesterday (22 January).
In response to a question on whether the minority issue in Bangladesh was discussed during the meeting with the US state secretary, Jaishankar said, "Yes, we had a brief discussion on Bangladesh. I don't think it's appropriate that I get into more details."
He also said there was no discussion on the attacks on Indian consulates in the US or the threat to Indian diplomats in the US.
