On 16th February, Mercedes-Benz Club Bangladesh held their grand annual meet– the Heritage Meet 2025. This is the fifth iteration of the car meet which brings together the largest number of Mercedes-Benz models in one place.
At around 2pm on Saturday, over 60 classic and new Mercedes models gathered in front of International Convention Centre Bangladesh (ICCB). The plan was to rally towards Fatima's Dell– a private property situated in Madani Avenue that has been selected as the venue for the event. The chosen route was to use the Purbachal Expressway, then drive through Bashundhara to reach Madani Avenue.

The convoy began at around 2:45 pm. Leading the rally was Khondker Mandood Ahmed, the president of Mercedes-Benz Club Bangladesh, with his mint red Mercedes W123. Other notable models from the rally were a Mercedes 230e, a 190E, W114 and a G-Wagon among others. By 3:30pm, the members arrived at the venue and each car parked at their pre-designated spot.
As the engines cooled and the last few echoes of exhaust notes faded into the warm February air, the stage was set for an evening where nostalgia met horsepower. Rows upon rows of Mercedes-Benz stood like automotive royalty—each with a story to tell, each carrying the legacy of the three-pointed star.
One car which completely stole the show was a pristine W113 Pagoda. Its ivory paint gleamed under the setting sun, a perfect contrast to the deep burgundy interior that screamed 1960s sophistication.

On the other end of the spectrum, Mercedes-Benz Bangladesh, the title sponsor of Heritage Meet 2025, presented visitors with a glimpse into upcoming brand developments by displaying the EQE 350+ and EQS 450 4MATIC SUVs. Opinions regarding these futuristic Mercedes models oscillated between doubtful looks from traditionalists to acknowledgments of technological advancement in Mercedes-Benz history from progressive observers.
As darkness descended, the focus shifted into hospitality activities. Guests were served a buffet spread and the atmosphere created the perfect environment for the owners to talk about their vehicles.

Discussions among owners varied from sharing their challenges with restoration to sourcing that one impossible-to-find part from a foreign scrap yard. The night was more than going around and admiring these machines; it was about the people who kept them alive.
The last act of the evening consisted of fireworks glittering above the skyline before a live concert that had even the most stoic car collectors tapping their feet.
