There are several ways to stay fit during the winter months. Here are some practices to keep you in good shape, both physically and mentally, all year round and especially at this time of the year.

  • Go for a walk or run outside, if the weather permits. If it's too cold or snowy, try walking or running on a treadmill at a gym, or at home if you have a treadmill.
  • Find a fun indoor activity that gets you moving, such as dancing, yoga, or team sports.
  • Incorporate strength training into your workout routine. This can be done with weights, resistance bands, or bodyweight exercises such as push-ups, squats, and lunges.
  • Stay active throughout the day by taking the stairs instead of the elevator, going for a walk during lunch breaks, and doing household chores.
  • Make sure to stay hydrated, as it's easy to become dehydrated during the winter months when the air is dry.
  • Finally, try to maintain a healthy diet by eating plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, and limit your intake of processed and sugary foods.
