ANTT Robotics: Leading Bangladesh's youth to a tech-enabled future
ANTT Robotics’ first initiative was piloted across nine schools in Pabna for a month and the final results showed a 75 percent increased interest in electronics and programming among the students

A 14-year-old tech enthusiast Sabab Mahmud's prolonged fascination with science fiction space vehicles led him to realise that building such machines in Bangladesh is actually possible.
In December 2019, he began putting together the pieces of a model rocket and soon figured that there is a lot more to creating space vehicles than meets the eye.
Sabab had much more to learn about engineering in general and thus began his exploration of Bangladesh's Industry 4.0.
In February 2020, he came across an edu-bot while taking part in a robotics competition. "I checked out the bot's flyer and it seemed very interesting. I wanted to see how it was being perceived by other students," Sabab said during an interview with The Business Standard.
One of the judges, Dr Khondaker Abdullah Al Mamun, really liked Sabab's project and suggested he work with the creators of the edu-bot - ANTT Robotics - to broaden his horizon.
"I have been working with ANTT Robotics for a year and it is really helping young engineers and programmers like me by providing basic technical knowledge to enhance their skills," said Sabab.
So, what is ANTT Robotics?
It is an ed-tech start-up dedicated to developing STEM-based educational tools and materials for young minds to easily learn programming language and robotics.
Under its STEM-education wing, ANTT Robotics offers two products - Edublock and School of IOT to help young tech enthusiasts work on their skills.
"Edublock" is a robotics kit that allows children to practice real-time programming simulation and better understand logic building and science. The robots can be programmed using a smartphone and anyone who knows how to use a mobile application can operate a robot.
"School of IOT" is a kit that helps youngsters learn automation and amplify their skills. This kit comes with a combination of tools like motion, moisture, gas and temperature sensor, LCD display, fan, motor and led lights; components, if brought together and programmed on one platform, can automate any home.
Besides creating toolkits for young learners, ANTT Robotics also offers a wide range of courses and workshops such as "Basic Programming", "Advanced Electronics", "Basic HTML & CSS", and so on.
Anyone aged seven or older can enrol in the 11 courses being facilitated by quality educators. At the end of each course, the participants are provided with certificates from ANTT Robotics. One of the best parts of these courses is that each class only has one student.
The Founder and Director of ANTT Robotics - Thajid Ibna Rouf Uday said, "We want young learners to enhance their skills to the fullest extent, which is why we prefer holding one-on-one sessions. It also aids instructors in devoting their full attention to students."
Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, this ed-tech start-up was conducting workshops and courses at schools. However, since the global crisis has changed the course of a majority of businesses, ANTT Robotics, too, shifted to virtual platforms.
To further assist tech enthusiasts scale, the start-up launched a virtual "Stem Club" on Facebook in 2019. ANTT Robotics is dedicated to spreading knowledge on STEM education through video content, training modules and toolkits among learners and educators all over the country.
This start-up is an enriched platform where children can take baby steps to giant strides in exploring the vast world of technology.
Initially, ANTT Robotics' first initiative - Edublock - was piloted across nine schools in Pabna for a month. A total of 3,150 students were trained with the help of 25 teachers. The final result and the teachers' surveys showed that 75 percent of the students had developed an interest in electronics and programming.
ANTT Robotics has all the necessary solutions that any enthusiasts will need to fulfil their inquisitiveness under one umbrella.
