Every year, thousands of tourists visit Rangamati to explore the pristine natural beauty that this hilly district offers. From breathtaking waterfalls to beautiful bridges across a lake, Rangamati has everything that tourists love. Among the many attractions of Rangamati, these three are the most popular:

Shuvolong Waterfalls

Those who want to experience natural waterfall can visit the incredible Shuvolong waterfalls in Shuvolong union of Barkal Upazila of Rangamati district.

Every day hundreds of tourists come here. During winter, there is less water in the waterfall, but it reclaims its beauty in the monsoon.

Those who do not like the rainy season can travel in autumn as the locals say autumn is the best time to visit the mountains. The water is clear during that time.

Besides, there is a scope of making a boat trip to go to Shuvolong. Along the way, you can enjoy the scenes of the both sides.

How to go:

Tourists can rent an engine-driven boat from Rangamati city's Parjatan Ghat, Banarupa, or Reserve Bazar Ghat. It will take an hour to an hour and a half to reach the waterfall from the town, and the rent will be around Tk1500-2500. The rent varies depending on the size of the boat.

The Hanging Bridge

Whoever visits Rangamati is eager to see a glimpse of this landmark. The bridge is located at Tabalchari in Rangamati city.

It is open to tourists all year round. However, when the water level in Kaptai Lake rises, it sometimes becomes submerged. Authorities then close down the bridge, but it happens rarely.

How to go:

An auto-rickshaw can reach the bridge from any part of Rangamati city. If you reserve an auto-rickshaw, it will cost around Tk50 to Tk120 according to the distance.

Polwel Park

Rangamati Polwel Park - under the control of the Rangamati Police - is a newly established tourist site that attracts many visitors every day.

It is in the DC Bungalow area inside the city. There are cottages for overnight stays. There is also a swimming pool in the park.

One of the unique attractions of the park is the Love Lock point. Couples lock padlocks here to keep their bond intact.

How to go:

Just like the Hanging Bridge, tourists can go to Polwel Park with an auto-rickshaw from any part of the Rangamati city. The fair will range from Tk50 to Tk120 based on the distance.
