What’s the best geyser out there?

Winter is almost here and so is our necessity for warm water. But heating water regularly  is not an easy task for people who work. So, here are a few geysers from different brands that got good user reviews online.

Tropica geyser, 45-liter capacity
Price: Tk5,300

I use Tropica geyser with 45-liter capacity from Shameem & Company. I purchased it for Tk5,300. I bought it as one of my friends who uses it for the last five years recommended it. Since it is leak proof, I could easily set it at the top our washroom. I believe it was a right decision.
Its installation was easy  as the company provided me with a professional plumber. I  have been using it for three years and it  has provided me with good service. As I have not taken any customer service yet, I do not have any idea about that, but I heard they are good at that. So, hopefully it will be fine too.
As everyone at our home uses hot water, we use it frequently. It takes only 15-20 min to warm the water. Its features are user friendly for all ages and I have never noticed any serious impact on the electricity bill.

ServyKo geyser, 45-liter capacity
Price: Tk8,000

Our pick was ServyKo geyser with 45-liter capacity and its price was around Tk8,000, including the installation. I did not know that geysers can be purchased at such a cheap price. So, when we started looking for the price and specifications on internet, we saw that Sheba.xyz and a few other companies were offering geysers at reasonable price.

I was always terrified about the installation. Later, I figured out that it is actually easy and you do not need to modify building structure at all. Our neighbour, who works at an electronic selling point, convinced us of this.

It is handy for daily use and I never felt  that something extra has been installed at my home. Within half an hour, it can make the water hot enough and it also automatically turns itself off. The electricity bill has increased slightly but nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, I am happy with its hassle-free service.

WWH-WC15L, 15-liter capacity
Price: Tk8,800

I am using WWH-WC15L with 15-liter capacity. As I live alone, I do not need a bigger geyser. I bought it by Tk8,800, with one-year service warranty. I could probably easily buy something from a different brand with a larger capacity, but I wanted to buy from a local brand.

I would say I am happy with its service.  I once found  that it was not working properly and it was not heating the water satisfactorily. So I called their customer service and asked for a solution. But it was not anything serious. This happened due to a technical problem, and their team provided me prompt service.

It takes around 20 minutes and I use it  thrice a day. It is automatic so I do not need to bother about timing, which is a big help for me. There is a coating in the geyser and it helps to keep the water at lukewarm temperature for the next three hours. The electricity consumption is pretty reasonable too.

Midea D50 20A, 50-liter capacity
Price: Tk11,700

I have been  using Midea D50 20A Water Heater (Geyser), with a  50-liter capacity for the last three years without any issue. Its price was Tk11,700. I had used this same brand for eight years earlier. I was so pleased with its service that I bought the same brand.

Usually, we use it three to four times a day and each time it takes only 10 minutes to heat the water. This way, it keeps the water lukewarm for the entire day.

It saves energy up to 60 percent, so there is no pressure on the electricity bill.

It has already crossed the warranty period, yet I did not face any issue. When I bought it, I  asked  the company to install the geyser and a plumber from the brand's chain shop came to assist us. I have not faced such issues like leakage or anything else, so I am content with its service.

Its quality, service and warranty are top notch. I always suggest this brand for geysers whenever someone asks me.

ECO+ geyser, 40-liter capacity
Price: Tk10,750

I am using ECO+ 40 LITER WATER HEATER (GEYSER). Its actual price is Tk10,750 but I bought this with 6 months EMI at 0% interest. Basically, this EMI offer was one of the main reasons I bought it. Moreover, I am a regular customer of Butterfly and their after-sale service at the Savar Showroom is up to the mark.  So, after considering all the options, I settled down for this.

I  have been using it for around two weeks and I am pretty satisfied with its service. The only thing that I did not like was – the company did not provide any assistance to install the geyser, which different companies usually offer free of cost. So, I had to hire a local plumber.

But the installation process was very easy and all the instructions were explained in the manual. Hence, I did not face much problems. It is automatic, takes only seven minutes and also keeps the water warm for next few hours.

As I am using it for two weeks only, I do not know how it will impact my electricity bill. But I am hoping for the best.
